METRO PROFIT RISES 65% IN 2ND QUARTER

MONTREAL -- Metro-Richelieu here said net income rose 65.1% to $5.1 million (Canadian $7.1 million) in the second quarter ended March 12. Sales increased 2.9% for the quarter to $460 million.
