NASDAQ, LENDERS GIVE NASH FINCH A BREAK

MINNEAPOLIS -- Nash Finch Co. here said last week it has received filing extensions from both Nasdaq and the banks holding the majority of its debt.

e March 19 deadline because of an investigation into its accounting and the resignation of its previous auditor.

Nasdaq set the following new deadlines for the company: third-quarter 10-Q due May 15; annual 10-K due May 30; and first-quarter 10-Q due June 9.

The company said it expects to meet those deadlines after recently retaining a new auditor. Nash Finch also said the banks holding the majority of its debt have agreed to extend to June 15 the deadline for the company to submit its audited financial statement for fiscal 2002 to its bank lenders.
