SAN JUAN BAUTISTA, Calif. -- Natural Selection Foods, based here, has named Karen Pflaum to the new position of Midwestern regional sales manager and Shayne Gordon to the new position of Northeast regional sales manager.

Gordon was vice president of sales for Northeast Fresh, a division of Toronto-based SunBlush Technologies Corp. based in Chelsea, Mass. Before that, he was Northeast regional sales manager for Dole Fresh Vegetables, and director of sales for Nasoya Foods, Ayer, Mass.
In their new roles, they are both responsible for setting up programs with customers in their respective territories, as well as managing food brokers. They both report to John Burge, vice president of retail sales for Natural Selection Foods.
Grape Group Names Corkill
FRESNO, Calif. -- The California Table Grape Commission has hired Timothy Corkill as merchandising manager for the western region of the United States, a territory that includes markets from Seattle to San Diego to Denver. His responsibilities cover all aspects of implementing the organization's merchandising programs in those markets. Corkill succeeds Cecelia Bayona, who has left the organization to pursue personal interests.
Corkill joined the commission from Vons, Arcadia, Calif., where he was a director of produce. Prior to that, he was marketing manager for a large grower/shipper in Salinas, Calif., where he worked with sales staff as a national account representative for retail and wholesale trade customers.
