DENVER -- The National Cattlemen's Association here said it endorses a U.S. Department of Agriculture proposal to change the beef grading system. hoice and Select grades and graded Standard. John Stowell, associate director, beef improvement and education for NCA, said the proposal is in keeping with the beef industry's goal to increase the quality and consistency of beef. The USDA is accepting public comments on the proposal through April 19.
