HAYWARD, Calif. -- Starport, a new company here, has introduced a line of international seasonings in concentrated paste form.
derizer called TenderRub are available in 16-ounce jugs, packed six to the case, and in smaller jars 12 to the case.
The seasonings in paste form, said to retain their flavor longer than dry seasonings, are soluble in water, oil, wine and other liquids, said Bob Hanson, Starport president.
Hanson, a former executive of Angostura International Ltd.'s U.S. Division, Cranford, N.J., formed the new company late last year with William Sher and Cheryl Tsang, both former executives of House of Tsang, San Francisco.
Hanson said the company, aiming for national distribution of its line, is targeting supermarket deli-food service departments and grocery departments. The firm offers recipe suggestions, such as one for Italian three-bean salad.
