BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- A 37-year-old Coney Island man, who was found guilty in 1980 of helping to start a fire at a Waldbaum's supermarket that left six firemen dead, was acquitted last week in a retrial. Eric Jackson-Knight, who spent almost 10 years in prison following his original conviction in connection with the fatal fire, was found not guilty on six murder counts in state Supreme Court here. The second trial was ordered in 1988 after a judge threw out the conviction.
