RYE BROOK, N.Y. -- About 400 members of the Food Industry Alliance of New York State turned out for the seventh Leadership Banquet at the Rye Town Hilton here. The event is held to help raise awareness and funding for legislative issues impacting New York state food retailers, and to honor those who have been particularly active in advancing the food retailers' agenda. Special guests WABC radio talk-show hosts Curtis Sliwa and attorney Ron Kubie entertained the group in a lively debate on the national political scene and local politics and culture.
