Granny Goose Plans Acquisition
ood manufacturer Granny Goose Foods here plans to acquire Salt Lake City-based Country Club Foods. The deal, subject to court approval, is valued at more than $17 million, according to a written statement from Granny Goose.
The acquisition will significantly expand Granny Goose's distribution in southern California. Granny Goose currently covers Los Angeles, the Pacific Northwest and Hawaii. In the future, the Granny Goose brand will be sold in all of Country Club's markets, which, along with southern California, are Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona and West Texas.
