J&J, Confab Form Venture
a joint venture, Confab here and Johnson & Johnson Europe have formed a new company, Confab International, that will offer European retailers high quality private-label feminine hygiene and incontinence care products.
Confab International will be a separate entity from Johnson & Johnson companies in Europe. It will have its own management, sales force, manufacturing facility and range of products. Under the partnership, Confab will gain access to Johnson & Johnson's experience in trade relations in Europe, and knowledge of European consumers. The venture also will lead to the development of new European production facilities. A location has not yet been chosen.
Retailer brands offered by Confab International will be different from J&J products. J&J does not make its national brand products available to the private-label or retail brand sector, and will continue to keep its own products separate from those offered under the new venture, according to a press statement about the venture.
Kendall-Futuro Updates Line
MILFORD, Ohio -- Kendall-Futuro, a manufacturer of quality home health care equipment and supplies, has updated its Durable Medical Equipment line with new small and large base quad canes equipped with a cushion grip foam handle. Now available, the small-based model sells at a suggested retail of $29 to $34, while the large-based model sells from $40 to $43.
