Mistic Sprouts Forest Buddies
tic Brands here will launch a six-week Rain Forest Buddies promotion beginning April 1, in which consumers can receive a bean-stuffed animal by sending in two bottle caps.
Four Rain Forest Buddies are available to choose from: Jackie the Jaguar, Tommy the Toucan, Sammy the Spider Monkey and Lucy the Ladybug. Each includes an attached slip-sheet giving a description of the species and information on The Nature Conservancy's Adopt-An-Acre program, which Mistic supports.
The promotion will be supported by a $1 million media campaign, including ads on MTV and the Discovery Channel. There is also a dealer incentive program consisting of a boxed-set of Rain Forest Buddies along with colorful point-of-sale displays that feature mail-in certificates, pole toppers, decals and shelf-talkers.
