This animated sequel is being released under the Warner Family Entertainment banner, which is a division of Warner Home Video. Continental Airlines and Princess Cruises are teaming with Warner to support a multimillion dollar advertising and marketing campaign.

PolyGram Tackles NFL Line

NEW YORK -- Polygram Video here has put together a line of videos that highlights the National Football League.

"The 1997-1998 NFL Films" home videos offer viewers an in-depth look at the power of football in the American sports scene and a behind-the-scenes look at each NFL team. They also provide fans with a first-time opportunity to watch legendary football games in their entirety.

The launch will be supported by a promotional campaign with media partners Acclaim, Champion, Fuji Film, Edge shaving gel, Topps and NFL Sunday Ticket.

Seven video categories, comprising one or more videos per category, complete the set: "NFL Team Video Yearbooks," "NFL's Greatest Moments," "NFL Throwbacks," "NFL Talkin' Follies," "NFL Greatest Games," "NFL Feel the Power" and the upcoming "Super Bowl XXXII."

Thirty-minute "Yearbook" releases will review the past season and look ahead at the coming season for each of 30 teams from the Arizona Cardinals to the Washington Redskins. All 30 tapes will street July 22, except for the Green Bay Packers title, which will debut July 15. Orders close July 3. Yearbook tapes will carry a $14.95 suggested retail.

"NFL's Greatest Moments" also will street July 22 with orders closing July 3. The film captures highlights from the last 77 seasons. It has a running time of 50 minutes and will retail for a suggested $14.95.

Running 45 minutes, "NFL Throwbacks" will compare today's players' style with that of yesterday's greats. It will street Aug. 26 with orders closing Aug.8. Suggested retail is $19.95.

Adding some comic relief is "NFL Talkin' Follies," a video that dubs what might be said during on-the-sidelines and on-the-field conversations. It, too, will debut Aug. 26 and the final ordering day is Aug. 8. "Follies" runs 40 minutes and will sell for about $14.95.

Two full games, not highlights, will comprise the "NFL Greatest Games" segment: Ice Bowl and Super Bowl III. Both street Sept. 16 and orders will end Aug. 29. Each tape runs 73 minutes and will carry a $19.95 suggested retail.

The "NFL Feel the Power" video allows viewers to meet players both on the field and off. Sixty minutes of exclusive interviews and live-action coverage reveal the characters of many talented NFL athletes. It streets Sept. 23 with orders closing Sept. 5. Suggested retail is $19.95.

The final tape in the series will street Feb. 17, after the game has been played. "Super Bowl XXXII" will retail for a suggested $19.95. The order cut-off date will be determined later.

'Private Parts' Set for Rental

HOLLYWOOD -- The $41 million box-office hit, "Private Parts," will debut on video July 22, Paramount Home Video announced. Orders close July 7.

The video, which stars radio talk show host Howard Stern, carries no suggested retail price because it is priced for rental. It is rated "R" by the Motion Picture Association of America.
