adical Ravioli here has introduced a line of all-natural pasta entrees in boxes that urge the consumer to "Just nuke it"!
The pasta comes in six flavors: Teriyaki Chicken, Thai Style Chicken, Spicy Chicken Sausage, All-American Chicken, Sante Fe Black Bean and California Grill. The product uses organic durum flour, free-range chicken and other natural ingredients. An 11-ounce package carries a suggested retail price of $2.99.
Kid Cuisine, Disney Team
OMAHA, Neb. -- Consumers who buy specially marked packages of meals supplied by Kid Cuisine here can receive books from Disney's Classic Storybook Collection. Beginning this month, consumers who mail in three Universal Product Codes and $2 for postage and handling receive one of four titles in the collection, which consists of a total of 30 books with a retail of about $7.98 each.
Titles include "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," "Pocahontas" and "Pinocchio."
Albertson's, Hughes Add Fran's
BURLINGAME, Calif. -- Fran's Healthy Helpings here has gained distribution in northern California's Albertson's stores as well as in the southern California Hughes Family Markets. Both chains will carry all five stockkeeping units of the company's line of healthy frozen meals for children.
New Items Come From Amy's
SANTA ROSA, Calif. -- Amy's here has added four new flavors to its line of pocket sandwiches: Roasted Vegetables, Mediterranean Vegetables, Broccoli & Cheese and Tamale. Suggested retail is $1.99. Also new is the Chile & Cornbread Whole Meal, with a suggested retail price of $3.29.
Dilbert's Ice Cream Arrives
BURLINGTON, Vt. -- Ben & Jerry's here launched its new ice cream, Dilbert's World -- Totally Nuts, by awarding selected business travelers with a check for the average price of their airline ticket. Free samples were also given.
Ben & Jerry's set up cubicles at LaGuardia Airport in New York and Los Angeles International Airport, where the butter almond ice cream with roasted hazelnuts, praline pecans and white fudge coated almonds was sampled. Suggested retail price is $2.99.
Newman's Ice Cream Debuts
BURLINGTON, Vt. -- Actor Paul Newman has added ice cream to his Newman's Own line of products. Newman's Own ice cream is made by Ben & Jerry's here under a licensing agreement.
DiGiorno Rolls Out Pizza Tour
MIAMI -- The Rise and Roll with DiGiorno tour features the World's Only Flying Pizza hot air balloon, the DiGiorno Travelin' Pizzeria and the PGA Tour Rolling Clubhouse.
DiGiorno's annual promotional tour for its line of self-rising pizza added the Clubhouse, an interactive golfing experience, according to a company news release.
The Flying Pizza balloon tour kicked off here and will visit more than 20 cities before it concludes in Los Angeles in the fall. The DiGiorno traveling show passes out free pizza at balloon festivals, outdoor concerts, fairs and sporting events.
