E3 Exhibit Space Increases
WASHINGTON -- Exhibit space sales for the Electronic Entertainment Expo, June 19 to 21 in Atlanta, have surpassed last year's total by more than 40,000 square feet, said Douglas Lowenstein, president of the Interactive Digital Software Association here, which organizes the event.
Total exhibit space stands at 528,000 square feet, with 56 first-time exhibitors set to participate. Last year, E3 drew 57,995 people, up more than 40% from 1995's 40,851.
"E3 1997 will not only be home to its core exhibitors in the video game and PC entertainment software business, but it also will be a signature event for companies showcasing Internet and on-line entertainment content, on-line game networks, 3D technology and multimedia chips like MMX," said Lowenstein.
