The product, which contains no aspirin or ibuprofen, is labeled for children ranging from 2 to 11 years old. It is available in suspension liquid and chewable tablet formulations. The tablets are available in 30-count packages with a suggested retail of $2.49. The liquid is available in 4-ounce bottles with a calibrated measuring cup for accurate dosing at a suggested retail of $4.99.

FDA OKs 24-Hour Antihistamine

WOODBRIDGE, N.J. -- Ciba Consumer Pharmaceuticals here said its 24-hour over-the-counter antihistamine has been cleared for marketing by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The product, Efidac 24 Chlorpheniramine, was developed by ALZA Corp., and will be launched in time for the Spring 1995 allergy season, according to Ciba. It will be available in 6-tablet and 12-tablet packages.

Bugs Bunny Line Relaunched

ELKHART, Ind. -- Miles here is relaunching its 23-year-old Bugs Bunny Children's Chewable Vitamins line with a new flavor formula and package and increased promotional activity.

Now available in 60-tablet packages, the three formulas of Bugs Bunny -- Bugs Bunny Complete, Bugs Bunny Plus Iron and Bugs Bunny With Extra C -- are available in orange, grape and cherry assorted flavors. The line has a suggested retail between $4.99 and $5.60. Miles said it plans to drop four freestanding inserts, nearly 200 million coupons, to support the Bugs Bunny line in 1995.
