The only domestic brand that can be found in China, Five Star has an excellent chance of success in America, according to Jack Shea, vice president of brands for Northland Beverage.

"We are rolling out Five Star in both a regular and light version. This brand will sell well in all channels of trade, just as any other high quality, good tasting, beer does. Five Star Light is especially suited to American tastes and will appeal to both male and female consumers," said Mr. Shea.

Budweiser Markets Classic Draft

ST. LOUIS -- Anheuser-Busch here is launching a marketing campaign to support Budweiser Classic Draught sales. The campaign will include several new television and radio ads featuring August A. Busch IV, Anheuser-Busch vice president of marketing and fifth-generation brewmaster.

Building on Budweiser Classic Draught's success, the marketing program is designed to increase the brand's visibility among adult consumers. Budweiser will use new advertising initiatives, point of sale materials, promotional items and special events teams.

Miller Goes Green for St. Patrick's Day

MILWAUKEE -- With quirky sayings, colorful images and plenty of Shamrocks, Miller Lite and Miller Genuine Draft of the Miller Brewing Company here will go green in bars, restaurants, supermarkets, C-stores, and liquor stores this coming St. Patrick's Day.

The promotion offers a wide variety of elements, such as specially designed Miller Lite bottles and cans with copy lines like, "The Shenanigans in this beer are 100% naturally occurring." The promotion will run from mid-February through St. Patrick's Day, March 17.
