Frieda's Names Two Associates
rieda's Inc., the specialty produce purveyor, has named Steve Travis Midwest regional accounts manager, responsible for calling on retail trade customers in the central United States. He reports to Lyn Hughes, director of business development. Prior to this, he was regional manager for the Pear Bureau Northwest, based in Dallas; and before that, spent more than 20 years working in several divisions of Fleming/Malone & Hyde in Memphis, Tenn.
The company has also named Rob Bonghi a buyer in the procurement department, reporting to Greg Hess, director of procurement. Before this, he served in a similar capacity at Albertson's in their Irvine, Calif., buying office. He also worked for Ralph's Grocery Co., Compton, Calif. at the retail level.
Ready Pac Produce Appoints VP
IRWINDALE, Calif. -- Ready Pac Produce here has appointed David Nicholson vice president of operations. He is responsible for management of purchasing, manufacturing, distribution and engineering functions for the company's processing facilities in California and New Jersey. Prior to this, he served in an identical role with Fishking/UniSea Foods, a value-added seafood processor. Nicholson reports to Al Giuliani, Ready Pac president.
