GeoKids Sets 3 New Releases
Three new titles in National Geographic's GeoKids children's video line are scheduled for release on March 21. "Chomping on Bugs, Swimming Sea Slugs and Stuff That Makes Animals Special," "Tadpoles, Dragonflies and the Caterpillar's Big Change" and "Camouflage, Cuttlefish and Chameleons Changing Color" will have a suggested retail price of $12.95. National Geographic Home Video products are distributed by Columbia TriStar Home Video here. National Geographic Home Videos also will issue two titles in its regular product line on March 21. "Those Wonderful Dogs" and "Cats: Caressing the Tiger" will retail at $19.95.
Sony Plans Version of 'Pocahontas'
NEW YORK -- Sony Wonder here will release a 48-minute version of "Pocahontas" direct to video on April 11 from its "Enchanted Tales" series. Offered in clamshell and regular packaging, the title will be priced at $14.98, with an order date of March 16. Sony Wonder also will release three Nickelodeon Home Video titles on March 21 with an order date of March 2. The titles include a one-hour special, "Farewell My Little Viking" from "The Adventures of Pete & Pete," priced at $9.98, "Clarissa Explains It All: Ferguson Explains It All," priced at $14.98 and "Ren & Stimpy: Incredibly Stupid Stories," also priced at $14.98.
PolyGram Offers Super Bowl Tape
NEW YORK -- PolyGram Video here and NFL Films have released "San Francisco 49ers: Super Bowl XXIX Champions" at a suggested retail price of $19.95. The tape is the official home video of the game. PolyGram Video and Reebok International will release "The Best of Step Reebok TV" on March 7 at a suggested retail price of $14.95. The 53-minute tape includes a three-part total body workout.
