Turner Teams With Little Debbie
rtainment has teamed with Little Debbie Snack Cakes for a six-month long cross-promotion of its Cartoon Network Video line.
Backed by in-store support in supermarkets, national media and on-pack advertising, Little Debbie is introducing a new product called Yo-Yo's, which ties in with the video label. Over 70 million Little Debbie packages will promote the Cartoon Network Videos, and will highlight a consumer offer of merchandise like hats and T-shirts for a small cost. The promotion kicked off last month and runs through January.
Orion Sets Baseball Release
LOS ANGELES -- Orion Home Video and Major League Baseball Home Video will release "This Week in Baseball: 20 Years of Unforgettable Plays and Bloopers" on Sept. 24 with a suggested retail price of $14.98. It is a compilation of highlights from the popular television program "This Week in Baseball."
Orion and Major League Baseball also will release "Super Sluggers" on Sept. 24, priced at $14.98. This title features interviews with players like Mike Piazza, Cecil Fielder and Albert Belle.
ESPN to Release Football Tape
STAMFORD, Conn. -- ESPN Home Video will release "College Football's All-Time Rivalries" and other college football tapes on Oct. 15. These titles will have suggested retail prices ranging from $9.95 to $19.95.
The "All-Time Rivalries" tape will look at 12 memorable match-ups. Other titles include "College Football's Greatest Games," "The Football Hall of Shame," "Fantastic Football Plays," "Miami Hurricanes: Decade of Dominance" and "College Football Funnies." Order date is Sept. 10.
