ECVS Anticipates New Venue

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Anticipating a move to a new venue, exhibit space sales for the Oct. 7 to 9 East Coast Video Show are running ahead of last year's pace, said Diane Stone, show director for Expocon Management Associates here.

This year, the show will move to the new Atlantic City Convention Center, where it will occupy over 200,000 square feet of space, including a separate hall for the adult video exhibitors, Stone said. Last year, attendance at the show grew 18% to 8,329. The show is the largest home-video show on the East Coast and the second largest in the nation, following the Video Software Dealers Association's annual convention in July.

Among major exhibitors who have already signed up for booth space: Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, PolyGram Video, BMG Video, Republic Entertainment, The Discovery Channel, Hallmark Home Entertainment, Star Video and Ingram Entertainment.
