here has completed its acquisition of Mrs. Paul's frozen seafood from the Campbell Soup Co., Camden, N.J., for an undisclosed amount.

The sale includes the Mrs. Paul's trademark and related assets and inventories, but none of Campbell's manufacturing facilities.

Van de Kamp's will move production of Mrs. Paul's to its manufacturing facilities in Erie and Chambersburg, Pa.

Van de Kamp's produces a line of frozen fish and seafood products and a line of frozen desserts, including Pet Ritz cobblers and cream pies and Oronoque Orchards pie shells. The combined sales of Van de Kamp's and Mrs. Paul's businesses are approximately $230 million.

Velvet Ice Cream Expands Lines

UTICA, Ohio -- Velvet Ice Cream here has introduced five new fat-free sherbets to its original product line and two new flavors to its Kid's Club ice cream line.

The five sherbet flavors are Florida orange, tropical rainbow, strawberry banana, pina colada and berry basket and carry a retail price of $3.79 per half gallon.

The new flavors in the Kid's Club line include All-American Cherry -- a combination of vanilla ice cream, Maraschino cherries and a black cherry swirl -- and Muddy Sneakers -- white chocolate ice cream, chocolate-caramel peanut candies, caramel sauce and milk chocolate chips. Kid's Club selections are sold in half-gallon containers with a suggested retail of $4.39.

Velvet products are available throughout Indiana, northern West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky and western Pennsylvania

New Flavor From Turkey Hill Debuts

CONESTOGA, Pa. -- Turkey Hill Dairy here has introduced a new premium ice cream flavor called Strawberry Rhubarb Pie.

The ice cream is available late this month for a limited time, and is packaged in a reusable plastic container featuring original artwork by a local artisan.

A division of Dillon Cos., Hutchinson, Kan., Turkey Hill markets its line of premium ice cream products throughout the Northeast.
