EDDA Charters Cruise Ship
-- The Eastern Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association has chartered a cruise ship, "Spirit of New York," for its annual spring dinner on May 24.
The ship will pick up guests at a New Jersey location and at a New York City pier. The cruise will include a buffet dinner, dancing, entertainment and panoramic views of Manhattan's skyline, said Dinner Committee Chairman Paul Criscuolo, who is also senior vice president of merchandising for 29-unit Mayfair Super Markets, Elizabeth, N.J.

Pillsbury 'Safari Pack' Debuts
MINNEAPOLIS -- Pillsbury Bakeries & Foodservice here has introduced a "safari pack" of frozen cut-out cookies that are ready for baking.
The three new cookie shapes -- a lion, a rhino and an elephant -- are packed together. Counter cards and a coloring contest copy sheet featuring the safari pack cookies are available as merchandising aids.

Ocean Spray Markets Bake Pack
LAKEVILLE-MIDDLEBORO, Mass. -- Ocean Spray Cranberries here has introduced a bakery pack, a 30-pound box of frozen whole cranberries, for use by retail bakeries.
The box contains six individual 5-pound bags of cranberries.
The company also provides recipes for using the product as an ingredient in scones, pies, muffins, fruit breads, cookies and other baked goods.
Dawn Adds Frozen Muffin Batters
JACKSON, Mich. -- Dawn Food Products has introduced frozen muffin batters.
