The initial phase of the advertising campaign, which focuses on CreataCard, a self-contained system that enables consumers to design, personalize and manufacture a greeting card in less than 2.5 minutes, consists of national and local television commercials. These national and local spots will be supported by a radio campaign in more than 60 markets.

Commercials will air on network television and cable stations like Lifetime, USA and Nickelodeon.

Coke Polar Bear to Hit Stores

POWAY, Calif. -- Toy Box Creations here will officially launch a promotion tying together its licensed Coca-Cola Polar Bear plush animals with the soft-drink manufacturer's products.

The promotion, not officially endorsed by Coca-Cola, will offer a discount to consumers on the price of the bears when they purchase a 12-pack of Coca-Cola.

The Polar Bears are available in gift boxes or in vinyl tote bags. The manufacturer released a price chart that showed a 33% profit margin on the Polar Bears when purchased as part of the promotion.

Toy Box is also offering retailers a variety of shippers on the Polar Bears and will run the promotion for the remainder of 1994.

Panasonic Robot in TV Debut

NEW YORK -- ReCharge, the official robot and spokesmachine for Panasonic rechargeable batteries, recently made his television debut as the kickoff to his upcoming year of speaking engagements at retail stores throughout the country.

ReCharge was featured on "Can We Shop Starring Joan Rivers," a nationally televised program, in a segment highlighting products that work well with the environment.

The robot frequently concentrates on educating children about the environment.

Halloween Glow Magnets Unveiled

CLEVELAND -- Wings, a division of Vocational Guidance Services here, is introducing a line of glow-in-the-dark Halloween magnets with a suggested retail price of $1.99.

Wings manufactures a variety of seasonal and humorous refrigerator magnets, employing disabled and disadvantaged people to screen-print and hand-decorate the products.

The company's magnets were marketed by retailers across the country last year, including Wal-Mart.
