, Quincy, Mass., is the first New England chain to carry Pitino Classic Italian, a line of six pastas, three pasta sauces and two salsas. Named after Rick Pitino, coach of the Boston Celtics, the line will eventually be rolled out throughout New England

All proceeds are being donated to needy children's charities through the Daniel Pitino Foundation, which was founded in memory of Pitino's son, who died of congenital heart problems.

The line is manufactured by Pitino Foods here. Sinco Brands of Belmont, Mass., is handling sales and marketing of the brand in New England.

Natural Gourmet Food Show Set

BOSTON -- The inaugural Natural Gourmet Food Show will be held at the Hynes Convention Center here May 11 and 12. The show is being organized by United Conference Group, Yarmouth, Maine. The show will have approximately 200 manufacturers displaying their wares in 300 booths. Hass Hassan, founder of Alfalfa's Natural Food Stores and former president of Wild Oats Markets, will be the keynote speaker. Other sessions will cover new products, the investment community and how to successfully target the gourmet consumer.

Kellogg Spins Music Event

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. -- Kellogg USA here has teamed with New York-based PolyGram Records for a Kellogg's Best to You Music Collection promotion. It consists of a mail-in offer featuring a special collection of four, eight-song compilations covering an array of musical categories such as Pop, Country, Classic Rock and Motown, sung by popular artists such as The Four Tops, The Police and Boyz II Men.

The promotion breaks this month and will be featured on more than 90 million boxes of 12 leading Kellogg's ready-to-eat cereals. Consumers can send away for up to four compact discs for $4.99 each or cassettes for $3.99 each. Kellogg's will donate 5 cents from the sale of each unit to the Second Harvest food bank network.
