Somody Set to Acquire Scholls
upply here, a distributor of health and beauty care and general merchandise, has agreed in principle to acquire certain assets and accounts of Scholls, an Arden Hills, Minn.-based wholesaler.
The purchase would expand Somody's customer base by 25% and significantly increase the company's position in the school/home/office supply, party supply and cosmetics categories. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Free Olympic Cassette Offered
ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- From June 30 through July 20, consumers will receive a free cassette tape of Olympic music when they pick up their Kodak Premium Processing film developing orders.
"The Sound & the Spirit Sampler" cassette, from Eastman Kodak here, includes songs such as "Chariots of Fire." The sampler also will include a mail-in offer for "The Sound & the Spirit," a full-length CD version of the sampler cassette that also features other Olympic music. The collectible CD will be available for $7.99 plus shipping and handling. Kodak Premium Processing is provided by Qualex, Durham, N.C.
