Additionally, the studio will offer a $2 instant coupon on the purchase of "Bambi" and one of its "Hayley Mills Video Collection."

"The 55th Anniversary Limited Edition of Bambi" releases Feb. 4, backed by a "multimillion" dollar advertising campaign, said the studio here. The ads will run on network, cable, spot and syndicated television, as well as radio and in print.

K-tel to Focus on Family Fare

LOS ANGELES -- K-tel International here has entered into a distribution agreement with Lou Scheimer Productions, Los Angeles, to increase its focus on animated and live-action family and children's titles. Under the agreement, K-tel will provide the funding for Scheimer to acquire properties in other countries for distribution in the United States.

NHL Stars Featured in Video

NEW YORK -- NHL Productions here will release "NHL Power Players," featuring highlights and interviews with top players such as Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, Mario Lemieux and Pavel Bure.

The title will be released Jan. 28 with a $14.98 suggested retail price, and support from a radio and print advertising campaign. Additional promotion will come from an insert in a national credit card company's February billing statements. One NHL trading card from Upper Deck Co., Carlsbad, Calif., will be inserted in each video.

Female Bodybuilders Set

NEW YORK -- Central Park Media here will release a documentary about female bodybuilders, "Pumping Iron II: The Women," March 4 at a suggested retail price of $19.95. Order date is Feb. 3. This is a sequel to the Arnold Schwarzenegger title, "Pumping Iron."

Sony to Release 'Anastasia'

NEW YORK -- Sony Wonder here will release "Anastasia," the latest addition to its "Enchanted Tales" line, April 1. The title will have a suggested retail price of $9.98, an order date of March 6 and will be available in clamshell and slipsleeve packaging.

Sony Wonder will also cross promote its line of "Sesame Street" video, audio and book and tape products with a line of premium sliced lunch meat products from Feb. 1 to April 30. Consumers will be offered a $2 mail-in rebate with specified purchases.

The seventh title in the "Beavis and Butthead" line will be released Feb. 18 by Sony Music Video and MTV, both in New York. "Law-Abiding Citizens" will be priced at $14.98, with an order date of Jan. 23. "Aeon Flux: Mission Infinite" will release on the same date with a suggested retail of $12.98.

MGM to Launch Sing-Alongs

SANTA MONICA, Calif. -- MGM Home Entertainment here will launch a new video line, "MGM Sing-Alongs," March 4. Order date is Feb. 5.

The tapes, with a suggested retail price of $12.98 each, will include musical numbers from movies like "Meet Me in St. Louis," "Take Me Out to the Ballgame," "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang," "Anchors Aweigh" and "All Dogs Go to Heaven," among others. The four volumes in the line are "Searching for Your Dreams," "Friends," "Having Fun" and "Being Happy."

The studio's logo, "Leo the Lion," and his animated family, "The Lionhearts," will open each video with an original song and lead children throughout the titles.
