The layers are 8 inches and come in white, yellow or chocolate. Packages can be assorted or one flavor. The company is promoting the layers with no-sugar topping from Cremes Unlimited, Matteson, Ill. The icing is made without tropical oils, cholesterol or preservatives, and is dairy-free, the company said.

Tortilla Group Schedules Meeting

ENCINO, Calif. -- The fifth annual technology seminar of the Tortilla Industry Association here has been set for May 7 to 10 at the Doubletree Los Angeles Airport Hotel, Los Angeles.

Nineteen sessions are on the agenda for the event, including a two-part workshop on marketing issues for tortillas. There will also be a presentation of the trade association's new market research study, and a review of the recent Wheat Foods Council/ American Bakers Association Gallup poll on wheat products consumption.

Specialty Food Event Slated

NEW YORK -- The National Association for the Specialty Food Trade here has announced the dates for the summer International Fancy Food & Confection Show.

The show, which features specialty food items and candy from national and international suppliers as well as a roster of seminars, will be held here at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, July 9 through July 12.
