PowerAde Adds Two Flavors
Co. here has announced that its PowerAde sports drink will feature two new flavors for 1999: Arctic Shatter and Dark Downburst.
Arctic Shatter consists of cherry and peach flavors combined with a white, opaque color. Dark Downburst features berry and citrus flavors in a royal blue color. Arctic Shatter is being distributed nationally, while Dark Downburst is in regional markets.
Suggested retail price is 99 cents for a 20-ounce PowerAde container.
New Packaging Whipped Up
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- To build momentum in 1999, Snapple Beverage Corp. here has introduced two new flavors and improved packaging for the WhipperSnapple line.
The new items, Black and Blue Berry and Wild Cherry, feature red and blue packaging with double-logo messages on both sides of the bottle.
In addition, the two "Power Smoothies" in the WhipperSnapple line, Lemon Lime and Berry will now feature enlarged "Power" lettering.
Hansen's Packs Power
CORONA, Calif. -- Hansen's Natural Corp. here is introducing Hansen's Power, a lightly carbonated beverage for health-conscious consumers. Hansen's Power is a black-cherry flavored drink with creatine, glutamine, red panax ginseng and B vitamins to promote recovery from strenuous exercise.
