P&G Testing Its Olestra Chips

CINCINNATI -- Procter & Gamble here is testing new Fat-Free Pringles, which are made with the controversial fat substitute Olean, in Columbus, Ohio.

A 1-ounce serving has no fat and less than half the calories (70) of a 1-ounce serving of regular Pringles. The Pringles line -- available in original, BBQ and Sour Cream 'n Onion flavors -- is packaged in 6-ounce canisters that are selling for $1.79 to $1.99. The line debuted today.
