P&G Cuts Detergent Prices
e Oct. 14, the list price of Procter & Gamble's U.S. liquid laundry detergents Tide, Cheer, Era and Gain will be reduced by an average of 6.5%.
The company, based here, said the price cut is an effort "to provide consumers excellent performance at a good value, particularly as this business has become increasingly competitive."
Campbell Adds to Soup Line
CAMDEN, N.J. -- Campbell Soup here has introduced a line of four ready-to-serve soups in glass jars. The new line follows the company's introduction of 19 soup products, announced in June.
Available in 24-ounce jars, the varieties are Chicken & Pasta with Garden Vegetables, Garden Vegetables with Pasta, Cream of Mushroom and Minestrone. Each has a suggested retail price of $2.39.
Kodak, Kraft Team for Event
ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Eastman Kodak here has joined the Northfield, Ill.-based Kraft Foods annual Holiday Homecoming promotion this year.
The event's theme, "Make Holiday Memories," will be supported by a Kraft recipe booklet filled with photo-taking tips, recipes and more than $5 in Kodak and Kraft instant redeemable coupons. The booklet will be on sale at retail checkouts for $2.99.
