The agreement, effective April 12, provides financial and equity positions for AMI and its members. In addition to using the Web site's core meat exchange, AMI and its members will have access to value-added services that include freight and warehousing logistics, inspection services, on-line credit programs and e-commerce training, according to officials from both organizations.

TradingProduce.com Adds Divisions

LIVERMORE, Calif. -- TradingProduce.com has announced the availability of four new divisions to complement its existing produce e-commerce site. The new services, linked from the home page, include: seafood, meat, food and beverage and floral. All the sites include real-time market prices; both private-contract and open-market buying and selling functions; and transportation logistics services. Additionally, the company's recently announced partnership with Rabobank International allows it to offer financial services and research to customers.

ConAgra Releases Latest CD-ROM

GREELEY, Colo. -- ConAgra Beef Co. has released the second in a series of four CD-ROMs in its "Beef 101" educational series. The second disc, entitled, The Rib and the Loin, provides through pictures and text a variety of data on cut classes, fabrication, merchandising, packaging options and price discovery. For retailers, it also includes cooking methods and scanning code information. This second installment follows the series' first disc, Understanding Beef Merchandising, and precedes the next two -- The Chuck and the Round, and Thin Meats and Ground Beef.
