Cocoa Frosted Flakes Debut
Kellogg Co. here has introduced Kellogg's Cocoa Frosted Flakes.
The product is packaged in 16.1-ounce boxes and will be available nationwide in supermarkets in about a week. A special introductory price of $1.99 will be offered.
Nabisco Stacks Up Oreo Contest
EAST HANOVER, N.J. -- There's going to be a lot of stacking in the aisles this summer, as Nabisco Biscuit Co. here plans an Only Oreo Stacking Contest campaign as part of the 85th birthday celebration for its Oreo Chocolate Sandwich Cookies.
From June 23 to Aug. 20, local Only Oreo Stacking Contests will be held in 15,000 supermarkets, mass merchandisers and warehouse clubs across the country.
The top 10 kids in each category who can vertically stack the most Oreos in 30 seconds without using any glue or adhesives will advance to the finals, which will be held at the Universal Studios in Orlando, Fla., this fall. One winner from each category will receive a $20,000 U.S. savings bond and a year's supply of Oreo cookies. At the finals, Nabisco will award $1 million to the child who can stack 85 Oreos in 85 seconds.
Cap'n Crunch Bars Hit Shelves
CHICAGO -- Quaker Oats Co. here has introduced Cap'n Crunch Bars, a chewy marshmallow snack.
Carrying a suggested retail price of $2.39 for an eight-pack, the bars are available in two flavors: Cap'n Crunch and Cap'n Crunch Crunch Berries.
