SUPERMARKETS ONLINE, an on-line couponing unit of Catalina Marketing Corp., St. Petersburg, Fla., last week said it formally unveiled distribution agreements and strategic alliances with 10 consumer on-line sites, 24 consumer-packaged goods manufacturers and nearly 90 food-retail operators. The company said savings for consumers will be available for more than 80 product categories in more than 7,000 supermarkets nationwide.

GROCERY MANUFACTURERS OF AMERICA'S first annual "GMA State Leadership Award" was presented to Christopher P. Flynn, president of the Massachusetts Food Association, Boston. The award was presented by the Washington-based group in cooperation with the Food Industry Association Executives.
FOUR INDIVIDUALS were honored by the Mexican American Grocers Association and Foundation, Los Angeles, for their significant contributions to the food industry and the Hispanic community. Honorees included Harold McIntire, president of the Food 4 Less warehouse store division of Ralphs Grocery Co., Compton, Calif.; Arturo S. Rodriguez, president of the United Farm Workers of America; Richard Rodriguez, senior vice president of Mercado Latino, a Los Angeles-based distributor of products from Mexico; and Manuel F. Soto 3rd, chairman of the MAGA Foundation.
