DELHAIZE SHAREHOLDERS APPROVE 77-CENT DIVIDEND

BRUSSELS -- Delhaize Group here said its shareholders approved at the company's annual general meeting the distribution of a net dividend of Euro 0.66 (77 cents) per share for the financial year 2002. The meeting also named Baron Georges Jacobs, chairman, UCB Group, a Belgium-based pharmaceutical and chemical company, to a three-year term on the company's board.

INGLES PRICES NEW NOTE ISSUE

ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- Ingles Markets here said it will issue an additional $100 million of 8 7/8% senior subordinated notes due 2011. The company said the net proceeds from the offering will be used to repay indebtedness and to provide funds for general corporate purposes.

ALBERTSONS LOVES RAYMOND'S WIFE

BOISE, Idaho -- Albertsons here said Patricia Heaton, co-star of "Everybody Loves Raymond," will become the company's national spokeswoman, featured in national television commercials that will start airing in late June. Heaton, who has signed a multi-year contract with Albertsons, is the only national spokesman or woman for a company in the supermarket or drug store industries, according to the company.
