Beef Board Increases Grilling Promotion
ry has voted to expand the reach of its summer grilling promotion as an additional measure to combat oversupply and low prices this year, reallocating more than $800,000 from three different retail projects. The campaign, comprised of radio advertising, in-store promotions and public outreach, has to date attracted some 4,200 stores. Officials with the Beef Promotion and Research Board said the infusion will pay for program enhancements and allow it to enter more media markets across the country. The promotion, which runs through Labor Day weekend, is receiving additional funds from a nutrition labeling program, a Value Cuts campaign and the Beef Made Easy retail program, officials said.
