Instead, the court let stand a March appellate court ruling, which had supported a previous decision by the National Labor Relations Board. The case was brought by six supermarket workers who objected to having their union dues support UFCW organizing efforts.

Winn-Dixie Boosts Earnings Outlook

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Winn-Dixie Stores here last week revised its earnings guidance upward for the rest of the fiscal year after the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Toronto, said it would terminate its in-store banking agreements with the chain. Winn-Dixie said it would receive a $60 million termination fee from CIBC and would spend an estimated $7.3 million for de-installation.
