Founders File Suit Against Wild Oats
ets here said the company's two founders -- Michael C. Gilliland and Elizabeth C. Cook, his wife -- have filed a lawsuit claiming that the company failed to pay them $2 million owed on a promissory note. The company said it has withheld payment on the note while it attempts to resolve a dispute with Gilliland and Cook about money the company says the couple owes them.
Albertson's Expands Online Operations In Calif.
BOISE, Idaho -- Albertson's here said last week it has expanded its online grocery service -- Albertsons.com -- in southern California to serve residents in parts of Los Angeles, Riverside and Orange counties. The service arrived in San Diego in October.
