The state amended its position following federal court decisions throwing out shipping bans in New York, Michigan and Florida. The Wine Institute applauded the ruling in Florida, which it said is the second biggest wine market in the United States.
COKE BOTTLERS SUE OVER POWERADE TEST
ATLANTA - About 50 small Coke bottlers sued the soda maker and its biggest bottler, Coca-Cola Enterprises, both based here, to oppose plans to expand a test of a warehouse distribution system of Powerade sports drink to Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart requested the switch from direct store delivery to a warehouse model, which is used by PepsiCo-owned Gatorade. Bottlers worry switching from DSD would force them to consolidate, analysts said.
