Weis Markets, Sunbury, Pa., said it will sell its food service division, known as Weis Food Service, to Reinhart FoodService, LaCrosse, Wis. "Increasingly, our supermarket and food service divisions have evolved into two very different businesses with different distribution, marketing and operational requirements," said Norman S. Weis, Weis Markets president, explaining the reason for the sale. He also said he was pleased Reinhart will continue to run the division at its present Pennsylvania location and retain former Weis Food Service employees. Reinhart, a private company, expects sales of $1 billion in 2000., according to Weis.
