NORMAN AWARDED $1,000 SCHOLARSHIP

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The North Carolina Frozen and Dairy Food Council here has awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Levonda Norman, right, a sophomore majoring in public relations at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She was nominated by her teacher, Gregory Davis, left, director of minority academic services. Norman's scholarship is one of five provided annually by the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association, Harrisburg, Pa. The fund was established in 1985 in memory of H.J. "Jack" Cofer, former president and chief executive officer of Rich Seapack Corp., St. Simons Island, Ga. Scholarship recipients must express interest in a career in the frozen or refrigerated food industry.
