Pasquale Romano
-- Memorial services were held for Pasquale "Pat" T. Romano Sr. at St. Michaels Church here recently. Romano, 75, was president of Ronetco Supermarkets, Ledgewood, N.J., which operates six Shop Rite stores in the New Jersey towns of Netcong, Newton, Franklin, Succasunna, Byram and Mansfield. The company was founded by his parents. Romano also served on Ronetco's executive committee and was a member of the Liquor Committee of Wakefern Food Corp., Elizabeth, N.J. He was active in several local charities and community organizations, and he received the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce Philanthropic Award in 1994. He received the Saint Clare's Hospital Foundation's 2002 Leadership Award and the chamber's Quality of Business/Quality of Living Award in 2000.
