LOMA LINDA, Calif. -- Funeral services were held here recently for Richard C. Moseley, a retired executive of Stater Bros. Markets, Colton, Calif., who died of natural causes at the age of 75. Moseley spent his entire career at Stater, joining the company as a clerk in 1953 and working his way up through store operations and marketing to achieve the title of executive vice president. He retired from day-to-day responsibilities in 1995, although he continued to serve as a director and consultant to the company and held the title of executive vice president emeritus. Jack Brown, chairman, president and chief executive officer, said Moseley carried the emeritus title "because he was with this company for 52 years and I wanted to give him a distinction that no one else had ever had." Moseley is survived by his wife, Betty, a daughter and a grandson.
