LAKEVILLE-MIDDLEBORO, Mass. -- Ocean Spray Cranberries here is launching a new line of low-calorie juice drinks under the Ocean Spray Lightstyle brand name next month. Ocean Spray Lightstyle is sweetened with sucralose, a new sweetener derived from sugar that was developed by the McNeil Specialty Products Co. division of Johnson & Johnson, New Brunswick, N.J. Because of the stability and long shelf life of sucralose, for the first time Ocean Spray will be able to sell its low-calorie drinks in the Southern tier of the country.
