MONTEREY, Calif. -- The Produce Pallet Working Group gathered for the last time here to celebrate its accomplishments recently. Formed in 1992, the group has worked to foster industry acceptance of the standardized 48-inch by 40-inch pallet. Sponsored jointly by the Produce Marketing Association and United Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Association, the group's final gathering was held at the Annual Produce Conference last month.
