The inside page read, in part, "With Autumn in the Air and Thanksgiving Just Around the Corner, Edwards is Busy Stocking Shelves With Everything You'll Need for Your Fall Baking to Planning Your Holiday Feast."

A full page in the coupon book is dedicated to Sensational, Edwards private-label line. Items include cookies, premium ice cream, pure maple syrup, frozen entrees, pasta sauce, dijon mustard, orange juice and dog food.

Another page highlights Finast label grocery selections, such as onion soup mix, yams, instant oatmeal, chocolate chips, spices, cranberry juice cocktail and dry roasted peanuts. Cub Foods, Stillwater, Minn., promoted All Juice apple juice at 98 cents for a 64-ounce bottle in its Atlanta-area stores.

Likewise, Pathmark Stores, Woodbridge, N.J., has been advertising various frozen turkeys. Among the selections: Pathmark brand, 49 cents a pound; Butterball, 69 cents a pound; and Empire Kosher, 69 cents a pound. The specials were offered with a smart coupon and a $25 minimum purchase.
