CENTURY CITY, Calif. — All the cool creatures from the blockbuster film “Ice Age” are back in “Ice Age: The Meltdown,” coming to DVD and Blu-ray tomorrow, from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. With $645 million in worldwide box office sales, this sequel brings back the voices of Ray Romano (“Everybody Loves Raymond”), John Leguizamo (“Moulin Rouge”) and Denis Leary (“Rescue Me”). The launch has unearthed a massive promotional campaign including partnerships with Tootsie Roll, Carl Buddig, Malt-O-Meal, Hasbro, the National Frozen and Refrigerated Foods Association, and many more to come, according to spokeswoman Stacy Freeman.

BURBANK, Calif. — Warner Home Video has partnered with Mattel, El Segundo, Calif., in racing to release “Hot Wheels AcceleRacers: The Ultimate Race” on DVD Nov. 28. Consumers are geared up for this fourth and final installment of the original animated films, according to Warner. “With the success of the first three installments, ‘Ultimate Race’ is sure to be extremely popular with boys 6-11,” said Dorinda Marticorena, vice president, kids and sporting marketing, Warner Home Video. The release will be supported with a national media program, which will include a national TV campaign generating more than 42 million impressions.

SMOOTH SYSTEM

MILFORD, Conn. — In spring 2007, Bic will launch a version of its Bic Soleil razor for women, marking its first entry into system shavers. The new Bic Soleil features a replaceable triple-blade cartridge refill, a moisture strip, a rounded pivot head, a rubber guard bar and a longer curvy handle with enhanced rubber grip, the company said. “Our goal is to drive awareness and trial through an extensive campaign, including TV, print, radio, Internet, freestanding inserts, point-of-purchase displays and trade promotions,” said Tamar Bernbaum, director, shaver marketing, Bic Consumer Products USA. The new razor will begin shipping in March 2007 and the starter kit, which includes a handle and two cartridge refills will retail for approximately $6.99, according to Bic.
