CENTURY CITY, Calif. — Surviving as the assistant to the boss from hell is somehow the job a million girls would die for in “The Devil Wears Prada,” strutting onto DVD Dec. 12 from Fox Home Entertainment. Two-time Oscar winner Meryl Streep stars as Miranda Priestly, the editor of “Runway” magazine, while Anne Hathaway (“Brokeback Mountain,” “Princess Diaries 2: Return Engagement”) stars as Miranda's unlikely assistant Andy Sachs. The DVD includes a director's commentary and deleted scenes for a $29.98 suggested retail price. The release will be supported with a multimillion-dollar media campaign including network and cable television, print, out-of-home advertisements and online marketing.

PHILANTHROPIC PLAY

PORTLAND, Maine — The Planet Dog Foundation, the non-profit arm of pet product manufacturer Planet Dog awarded grants to five new recipients late last month, the company said. The recipients are: International Hearing Dog, Henderson, Colo.; Gabriel's Angels, Mesa, Ariz.; UCLA Medical Center, Los Angeles; the New England K-9 Search & Rescue, White Mountains, N.H.; and the Susquehanna Service Dogs, Harrisburg, Pa. A portion of every Planet Dog purchase goes directly to the foundation and 100% of the proceeds from the company's Glow for Good Ball go to the foundation. The mint-scented ball sells for $9.95.

WALTHAM, Mass. — To prove that high-performance consumer products can be designed with an environmental edge, Recycline is introducing the Preserve Razor Triple. The handle for the Preserve Razor Triple is made from 100% recycled materials, including 65% Stonyfield Farm yogurt cups. Offered in six colors, the razor is packaged with two triple-blade blade cartridges and has a suggested retail price of $7.49. Replacement blades are offered in a four-pack for $7.49 as well. Recycline is conducting a national press campaign, national promotions with supermarket chains and is offering national discounts with distributors, the company said.
