YM Goes Back to School
azine, published by Gruner + Jahr USA Publishing here, recently teamed with Top Flight, Chattanooga, Tenn., a school supplies manufacturer and distributor, to create a line of YM-branded back-to-school products. Items include fashion-forward composition notebooks, spiral bound notebooks, pencil pouches and three-ring binders for the tween and teen sets. Grocery stores such as H.E. Butt Grocery Co., San Antonio; Marsh Supermarkets, Indianapolis; and Kroger Co., Cincinnati began carrying the school supplies this month, according to a YM company spokeswoman. YM magazine began promoting the line on its "Plugged In" section of the magazine's Web site, www.ym.com, in July. In the September issue of YM, the editor-in-chief will feature the back-to-school supplies in her editor's letter. The October issue of YM will also highlight an ad for the products, listing all participating supermarkets.
