. - The Berenstain Bears learn the importance of family time when Sony Pictures Home Entertainment releases the latest installment of "The Berenstain Bears: Fun Family Adventures" on DVD. The DVD features six episodes from the Bear's PBS Kids' series, all devoted to underscoring the fun of spending time together as a family. The DVD will release on May 23 with a suggested retail price of $14.94. Marketing will include a trailer for "Fun Family Adventures" and other family titles promoted on PBS television, and also on DVD releases such as "Stuart Little 3." "We are constantly reminding consumers of the Berenstain Bears brand with cross-trailering, as well as through the television show and the books, which have been around for over 30 years - so there is a constant consumer awareness," said Suzanne White, vice president, marketing, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

Cool Sandwiches

PLYMOUTH, Mass. - Cool Gear here and Kraft, Northfield, Ill., have teamed up this spring to offer consumers a free Cool Gear Sandwich Taker with the proof of purchase from a package of Kraft Singles and a shipping and handling cost of $1.95. The Sandwich Taker has Cool Gear's EZ Freeze gel inserted into the lid. Consumers freeze the lid, and snap it in place to keep their sandwich cool. EZ Freeze gel is a safe cooling agent made with purified water, according to Cool Gear. Order forms are available online or by mail from Kraft.

Life of the Potty

DALLAS - This summer, Kimberly-Clark here will introduce new Pull-Ups Training Pants with Cool Alert, which have a coolness zone inside of the pant that provides a brief cooling sensation within seconds of becoming wet. This helps toddlers learn the difference between wet and dry, the company said. It is also introducing Pull-Ups Night Time Training Pants with extra absorbency to help maintain potty training consistency at night. Both products will be available to consumers in June and the launch of the products will have strong advertising support, with print and interactive presence scheduled to begin this month. Cool Alert Training Pants also will have TV support, the company said.
