ITY, Calif. -- Universal Studios Home Entertainment here and Pepperidge Farm, Norwalk, Conn., have teamed up in a comprehensive promotion for the April 19 release of "Meet the Fockers." The promotion will feature a Pepperidge Farm sweepstakes offering consumers the chance to win a three-day trip to New York City for six to attend a taping of Rachael Ray's "30 Minute Meals." The promotion will be supported by a freestanding insert with a coupon toward a purchase of the DVD; DVD on-pack stickers with coupons for two dollars off the purchase of any two Pepperidge Farm products; freezer clings and point-of-purchase materials promoting the DVD release; and a promotional site linked to both the movie's site and Pepperidge Farm's. Universal Studios will launch a DVD radio promotion this month featuring "Dinner and a Movie" prize packs that include the movie and frozen Pepperidge Farm products. "Meet the Fockers" has a suggested retail price of $29.98 on DVD and $23.98 on VHS.

SENSIBLE RE-LAUNCH

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- No nonsense hosiery will introduce new products, and re-launch its packaging and brand voice this year with a three-pronged marketing program. The brand will use new products and packaging, and a new Internet portal to reach consumers. Product introductions include pajama sets, athletic socks, Valentine's Day socks, and cotton and microfiber panties. Packaging changes include messages to convey fun as well as product developments, such as "Ah, Said the Foot" super-soft socks and "Hello, Mr. Pillow" pajama sets. A new color palette will also roll out. Each package will include a No nonsense tip to drive consumers to the Web site.

CINCINNATI -- Procter & Gamble here has introduced Mr. Clean Magic Reach, a new bathroom cleaning tool. The product launch will be supported by a national marketing plan that includes television and print advertising. Magic Reach has an extendible 4-foot pole that is designed to clean in and around the sink, behind the toilet, all tub and shower surfaces, and the bathroom wall and floor tiles. Suggested retail price for the Magic Reach is $12.99.
