CENTURY CITY, Calif. - Saving berries from losing their colors and helping fairies get promoted to Fairy Princess First Class is not a job for just anyone. Strawberry Shortcake, however, is truly the girl for the task. "Strawberry Shortcake: Berry Fairy Tales" debuts Aug. 22 from Fox Home Entertainment with a prebook date of July 26. The suggested retail price is $14.98 and the two-episode disc totals 45 minutes. The packaging is pink and strawberry-scented. The DVD will be supported by television advertising, direct mail to 4.4 million households and coordinated promotions with licensees.

COROPOLIS, Pa. - GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare here will offer "Hero Band" bracelets in its 50-count packages of BC Powder to honor the medication's 100-year anniversary, through July. A portion of the proceeds will support the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes, a nonprofit organization that assists disabled veterans who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan. BC Powder is an aspirin, pain reliever and fever reducer. The wristbands have a Stars and Stripes design. "We are commemorating the men and women whose dedication to hard work has helped alleviate the pain of Americans," said Darren Singer, vice president of the General Over-the-Counter Business Unit for GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare.
